Housed in the University of Pittsburgh’s Oak Hill research center, PARC conducts research using state-of-the-art laboratory equipment, including:
- DEXA scan for body composition and bone density
- SphygmoCor XCEL for central hemodynamics (e.g., arterial stiffness)
- Biodex for isometric muscular strength
- Metabolic cart for cardiorespiratory fitness
- Polysomnography for sleep
- Fully equipped wet lab for biospecimen (e.g., blood) processing and storage
